Pros

I actually prefer my MerrillEdge account overall. However, this is the only broker I can use with charting tool TC2000.

Cons

I find their website antiquated and counterintuitive.

Pros

Access to different asset classes and markets. Strong reputation makes it feels safe to use to invest.

Cons

Terrible user interface makes it difficult to initially understand how to execute trades. Doesn’t track the performance of your portfolio well. Difficult to understand the progress of your portfolio.

Pros

Ability to trade just about any security on any market including stocks, mutual funds, options, futures, foreign exchange, and cryptocurrencies. Extensive reporting capabilities including custom dashboard and reports.

Cons

Steep initial learning curve to get acquainted with the software toolset.

Pros

It's good, it's cheap, it has all your basic trading features and also a bunch more that you wouldn't get at a discount broker (good account aggregation for example).

Cons

The mobile app is getting better but still not that great, requires constant logging in.

Pros

Commissions are not too high. The mobile version is user friendly.

Cons

The web and desktop versions are not intuitive at all. I can't find anything there.

Pros

It is a fairly straightforward product to use.

Cons

The hidden fees leave me with a lack or trust and the transparency of the organisation.

Pros

IB has one of the lowest fees and commissions for trading activity when compared to other industry brokers. In addition, the market access and product offerings it provides to investors are unparalleled.

Cons

Given the rise in passive investing and investors increasingly being less inclined on the old school managers, it'll serve IB well to cater to the needs of a passive investor by redefining their monthly inactivity fee structure, especially when robo-advisors are on the rise.

Pros

Low cost trade commissions and no hidden charges; a wealth of the usual markets data is available; account management reporting is useful and provided through a self-service portal, which is neat.

Cons

The user interface is very ten years ago; you also have to pay for real-time data, so the markets data is 20 mins old. You also have to hold a large amount of capital in the portfolio to avoid monthly charges (~$20k).

Pros

Excellent trading platform with a vast portfolio of products. No matter what your trading style is, you will be happy with this platform.

Cons

Depending on where you are from/based, the sign-up process can be quite tedious due to US regulations.
