Pros

It is nice to be able to see other trends in regard to my investment.

Cons

Getting in and out is a pain. I wish it was easier to have an "at a glance" that's more efficient.

Hali B πŸ‘

Pros

They have professionals on hand to answer any question that I may have.

Cons

Their user interface could use a facelift to make it easier to use and understand.

Pros

I receive emails in a reasonable timeframe, but not too frequently.

Cons

It would be nice to have information about what they recommend based on what I've invested in already.

Pros

Website is super easy to manage and changes to my plan can be done in real time online.

Cons

There are not a lot of advisors that you can sit down with in person.
T

Tabitha R πŸ‘

Pros

Extremely low fees on a variety of funds, compared to other services out there. Plus it's a long-standing, trustworthy name.

Cons

The website feels old-fashioned and clunky. The netbenefits side for my employee 401k is beautiful, but switching over to look at other accounts' information feels like I'm stepping back a good 10 years in website design. It may seem like a petty thing to be concerned about, but when the customer-facing tech isn't great, it does raise some concerns about how up-to-date (and secure!) the back-end is.

David S πŸ‘

Pros

Can trust company as they have been around for many years without issue.

Cons

They do not give advice which could be helpful. It is also impossible to get in touch with managers in charge of their funds for discussion.
J

Jeremy H πŸ‘

Pros

They have a great website and tools all for free. Retirement planning software, portfolio analysis software, investment analysis software, budgeting tool and more. They have advisors you can speak with in person or over the phone. 24/7 customer service. Their reputation for putting the client first makes me feel like they really do want to do what is in my best interest. Lower cost than Schwab and Vanguard including index funds. They have great actively managed funds which have low expense ratios and most beat the index.

Cons

Telephone hold times can be long like 15 to 20 mins. But that has been primarily when the market goes crazy or near tax time.

Pros

It was very easy to set up my Fidelity account, and I appreciate the online access and paper free statements.

Cons

They sometimes push talking to an advisor via the phone on me, even though I prefer to do things online.
N

Nong G πŸ‘

Pros

Easy to use and has good tools for exploring new funds and markets.

Cons

Lower the transaction fees.
